Dear Shirley,
I ran across your book & wanted to give you some information. My mother attended Marygrove College from 1943-1947. I found an article stating that she was the organist at Our Lady of Victory Church, with Rev. Deems. Her name was Marjorie Quinn.

Its so wonderful to hear from someone who has roots at Our Lady of Victory. I didn’t add much about the music ministers because I simply forgot to do that. I do remember a lady who played at the low mass as it was called back in the day during my time there (Msgr. Ferdinand DeCneudt 1953-58). She was light skinned and I got to meet her at a book event I participated in at Sacred Heart Church. Is she the one you are talking about? I talked about the roots of Marygrove College in the chapter on the Oblate Sisters who taught me. It is fascinating…about things we didn’t know about. Our history. Glad to hear from you.
Hi, first let me tell you your blog is simply beautiful, and I am a lover of beautiful and well-written blogs. Secondly, do you ever host other authors on your blog? Let me know if you do as i’m embarking on my 3rd blog tour and still have 5 dates left to fill. If it’s something you’ve never done before, you might find the experience rewarding and very enjoyable. Check out BLOG TOUR SUPPORTERS at http://wp.me/P3sUCq-gc as well as my entire blog. You might enjoy it as well!
